Welcome to

Johns Creek, Georgia

Established 2006

July 18, 2006

This evening Fulton County declared the referendum to create the City of Johns Creek a success in both area A and area B. This YES vote for Johns Creek ratifies Governor Purdue's actions in late March and the efforts of our community to Bring Government Home. With your help and your votes, we have done just that.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate each of you who cast your vote and helped make our city a reality. It has been an overwhelmingly positive experience to see our community come together to plan for and now build what will be a great city. Thanks as well to all of our volunteers who have invested thousands of hours thus far and who will undoubtedly spend many thousands more between now and the end of the year. As Chairman for our committee, it has been an honor to work with such a talented group of people and I remain confident that the recommendations that are put forth by our committees will be thorough and reflective of our community's desires.

For now, please take a moment and realize the magnitude of what has happened. We have today created Georgia's 10th largest city and by far the best it has ever seen. Thanks again for your support and have a great evening here in Johns Creek.

Chairman - Committee for Johns Creek
